David Klein, President

David was born in Chicago and moved to Arizona with his parents when he was a child.  He has lived in Phoenix for almost 40 years, has been married for 25 years, and has two wonderful daughters.  He enjoys spending free time with his family, which includes many weekends at horse shows around the southwest. David has enjoyed math and design all his life and found his passion for land surveying while working for Superior Surveying.  He started with Superior in 1995.  While working with Randy, David was able to complete his education in land surveying.  He received his Arizona registration (R.L.S. #42137) in March of 2005. David is a member of the Arizona Professional Land Surveyors Association and the National Society of Professional Surveyors (N.S.P.S.)

Randy Delbridge, Founder

Randy was born in Florence, Arizona. He served in the United States Army from 1970 – 1972. After his honorable discharge in 1972, he started surveying in Arizona City, located about 20 miles south of Coolidge and 10 miles west of Florence (his childhood stomping ground). He started Superior Surveying Services in 1988 when I would perform the surveys during the day, and then draft them at night. Because he started his business with little overhead, his family would often pitch and lend their support. His father would help with the on-site surveying and his wife would often help “plot” points on grid paper in the evening at home to help Randy finish his projects faster. He used the most basic tools of surveying to get his business off the ground, and now his team conducts surveys with the latest GPS technology on the market. Randy’s registrations are as follows: Arizona 1984 R.L.S. #18214; California 1986 P.L.S. #L6060; Nevada 1997 P.L.S. #7680; New Mexico 2009 PS #19640. Randy is also a member of the Arizona Professional Land Surveyors Association, and the National Society of Professional Surveyors (N.S.P.S.)

Jim Mingus, Chief of Parties

Jim was born in Jacksonville, FL and raised in Portsmouth, VA. He joined the Marine Corps in 1976. In 1979 he moved to Arizona to go to school to be a diesel mechanic. Jim graduated in 1980 and immediately started working as a concrete finisher. In 1993 he began his career in land surveying and joined the Superior team in September of 1999.

Christie Murphy, Office Manager

Christie started at Superior in 2018 with an extensive background in human resources and customer service. A transplant from Seattle, she has a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Washington and was a certified Human Resource Professional through SHRM.  Christie and her husband live on the outskirts of Phoenix with their two teens and a multitude of dogs, cats, horses and fish.

James Williamson, Senior Project Manager

Born and raised in Scotland, James moved to the US in high school where he met his future wife. James boasts more than 12 years at Superior and is a senior project manager. He’s responsible for keeping projects on-time and within budget, as well as meeting client expectations. In his time off, he is busy chasing after four kids!
